December 4th, 2010. Students from the American Lutheran Church toured the KDOM Studios and learned about broadcasting.

January 18th, 2011. Music students involved with the local Youth in Harmony program visited KDOM.

February 1st, 2011.  Drama Students from the Windom Area High School toured the station and did an on air presentation.

February 2nd, 2011. In conjunction with cookie sales time, representatives of the local Girls Scouts visited KDOM.

March 8th 2011.  Windom Figure Skating students visited KDOM and were part of our public affairs programming.

March 12th, 2011 KDOM radio broadcast live from the Windom Farm and Home show, presenting broadcasting opportunity information to booth visitors.

March 25th, 2011  Windom school students involved in WindomNet Channel 22 broadcasting toured KDOM and were on the air..

April 5th, 2011 Drama adults and students involved with the Wizard of Oz production visited KDOM and were part of our on air programming.

April 29th, 2011.  Students involved with the local Adventure Club in Windom visited the station.

August 17th-20th 2011.  FFA and 4-H students assist KDOM at the Cottonwood County Fair

September 23rd, 2011. Windom School Homecoming candidates visited KDOM and participated in our on air program.

April 6th 2010 The Mt Lake Christian School benefit auction was the topic of our public affairs program as students from the school visited KDOM.

April 27th, 2010.  a group of children from the First United Methodist Church of Windom visited KDOM as part of their Youth Project.

August 18th-20th, 2010.  4-H and FFA students assisted KDOM as we broadcast live from the Cottonwood County Fair.

October 29th, 2010  Alex Meyer a senior student at the Southwest Star Concept High School did a job-shadow at KDOM.  His primary interest is in the area of weather.  His job-shadow was part of a Career Day for students.

Jan 13th 2009, Windom Area High school drama students visited KDOM to learn about broadcasting.

Jan 17th & 18th 2009, Windom High School Student Landon Johnson took part in a 2 night Job shadow program at KDOM.

Jan 30th 2009, KDOM received a visit from more drama students from the Windom area high school, for an on air interview and tour.

March 14th, KDOM Radio did a live broadcast the morning of the Windom Farm and Home Show. Broadcast opportunity information was available.

KDOM Outreach Activities - 12-1-2007 to 11-30-2008

Jan 11th, 2008. Students from the Windom Drama Department visit our studios to learn about broadcasting.

Jan 21st, 2008.  KDOM hosted a job shadow students from the Jackson County Central Middle school in Lakefield.  Storm Radanski received a tour of the station and sat in on the morning show from 5am until 8am. he learned about programming, news, weather, sports and production.  Radanski is a part of Mrs Jansma's after school "Study Buddies" class as a part of Big Buddies of Western Community Action.

March 11, 2008. KDOM Radio did a live broadcast from the Windom Farm and Home show, Broadcast opportunity information was available.

June 28th, 2008. General Manager Dave Cory attend the 4th annual Conclave Career Fair in downtown Minneapolis. Providing information on careers in broadcasting and meeting with many students.

August 19th, 2008. KDOM announcer Travis Fossing spoke to the entire student body of the Windom Area High School during a forum on education and job opportunities in the broadcast industry.

November 12th, 2008. Mountain Lake Student Dylan Karschnik spent the day at KDOM as a job shadow student.  Karschnik received a station tour and learned about kdom programming, news, weather, sports and production.

KDOM Outreach activities 12-1-2006 thru 11-30-2007

 January 22nd, 2007.  A group of local boy scouts and their leaders met at KDOM for a tour and a discussion on radio broadcasting and broadcasting opportunities.

February 7th, 2007.  Butterfield Odin high school senior student Shane Nelson spent 3 hours at the KDOM studios as part of a Job Shadow program.  Time was spent discussing on-air programming, the more technical side of radio and career opportunities.

 March 8th, 2007. KDOM announcers manned the information booth at the Local Farm and Home show.  Information was available on broadcasting opportunities.

 March 21st, 2007.  Dave and Judi Cory attended the Job Fair at Brown College in Mendota Heights.  Talks were held with approximately 20 students interested in broadcasting and career opportunities.

 April 3rd, 2007.  FFA Students representing Butterfield Odin high school took a tour of the KDOM studios and received information on the broadcasting industry.

 August 13th-16th.  At the Cottonwood County fair, Local FFA students assited kdom in the gathering of information and lining up of interviews for our live broadcasts.  Broadcast information was available to fair-goers.

 November 14th, 2007.  Hannah Quiring, a junior at the Mt Lake High School spent a full day, job shadowing, at KDOM Radio.  Hannah spent time with announcers in both the main studios and production studios learning about radio broadcasting.
