January 17th 2012. Music students participating in the Youth in Harmony program visited KDOM. January 26th 2012. Drama students from the Windom Area High school toured KDOM and did an on-air presentation. February 9th, 2012. Local Girl Scouts participated in an on air show and toured the station. February 10th, 2012. A Firearms Safety Class for students was presented. February 21st 2012. Youth involved with the local Relay for Life visited the station. February 24th 2012. An on-air presentation was made the the State F.F.A. president. March 19th 2012. Youth involved with Western Community Actions Big Buddies program toured the station and participated in an on-air show. April 16th 2012. Students involved with a Windom Community Education program toured the station. April 30th 2012. Young individuals associated with the local Multi-Cultural Festival visited KDOM. May 17th 2012. Local Girl Scounts toured the station and participated in an on-air program. June 14th 2012. Youngsters from Fulda received a tour of the station in conjunction with their local celebration. KDOM hosted a job shadow students from the Jackson County Central Middle school in Lakefield. Storm Radanski received a tour of the station and sat in on the morning show from 5am until 8am. he learned about programming, news, weather, sports and production. Radanski is a part of Mrs Jansma's after school "Study Buddies" class as a part of Big Buddies of Western Community Action. March 11, 2008. A group of local boy scouts and their leaders met at KDOM for a tour and a discussion on radio broadcasting and broadcasting opportunities. February 7th, 2007. Butterfield Odin high school senior student Shane Nelson spent 3 hours at the KDOM studios as part of a Job Shadow program. Time was spent discussing on-air programming, the more technical side of radio and career opportunities. March 8th, 2007. KDOM announcers manned the information booth at the Local Farm and Home show. Information was available on broadcasting opportunities. March 21st, 2007. Dave and Judi Cory attended the Job Fair at Brown College in Mendota Heights. Talks were held with approximately 20 students interested in broadcasting and career opportunities. April 3rd, 2007. FFA Students representing Butterfield Odin high school took a tour of the KDOM studios and received information on the broadcasting industry. August 13th-16th. At the Cottonwood County fair, Local FFA students assited kdom in the gathering of information and lining up of interviews for our live broadcasts. Broadcast information was available to fair-goers. November 14th, 2007. Hannah Quiring, a junior at the Mt Lake High School spent a full day, job shadowing, at KDOM Radio. Hannah spent time with announcers in both the main studios and production studios learning about radio broadcasting.
